The award-winning Auchenlarie Holiday Park has been privately owned by the Swalwell family for 40 years.
The park is situated on the beautiful coastline of Dumfries and Galloway, overlooking picturesque Wigtown Bay, with direct access to a secluded beach and only a short drive from the stunning Galloway Hills.
With its indoor heated pool, sauna, arcade, daily entertainment, aromatherapy massage room, children’s indoor and outdoor play areas, Auchenlarie is the perfect base for a fun filled family holiday or a relaxing break in your very own holiday home.
We also have the superb Surfside Bistro and Takeaway, plus a choice of three different bars and our well-stocked Premier convenience store. Alternatively, you can simply relax in the comfort of your own holiday home and savour the superb sea views and beautiful scenery.

There are many interesting and historic towns to visit in Dumfries & Galloway.
From Gretna through to Portpatrick there is a vast area to explore Scotland’s hidden gems. There is also many boat trips and amazing seafood available at Kirkcudbright harbour town.
For a great family day out Laggan Outdoors – Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre offer adventure and recreational experiences for all the family. Set in the heart of Dumfries & Galloway, on the hills above the solway coast, you really will struggle to find a more stunning location. It has a Zip Wire, Segways, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery, Grass sledging and so much more.
Whether you are a history buff or want to take the kids out for a day to remember, we have a wealth of attractions to see and explore. We have castles, museums, stunning beaches, the gorgeous Galloway Forest Park, beautiful gardens, farm parks and more! The kids love to visit the Cocoa Bean Chocolate Factory that’s not far rom the park that has Chocolate Workshops and a soft play.
Looking for a bit of adventure? Look no further! Nature sites, forest trails, sailing centres, scenic walks and rambles are to be found all around the area. Amazing mountain biking at Kirroughtree and some challenges climbs for road bikes – but worth the effort to see such fantastic scenery.
Galloway Forest Park is also home to the UK’s first Dark Sky Park – one of the best places in Britain to enjoy the night sky. On a clear night you can see over 7000 stars here with the naked eye!
We are far from being the little quiet corner of Scotland, we know how to have a good time!
Why not come to the various events and festivals that go on in the region and join in the fun! The Civics wee Summer program is a popular hit with our owners and it hosts a range of events from an Edinburgh Tattoo type display of bands, Tug of war, Gala day rides and markets and foods from around the world.
The South West 300
If you are feeling really adventurous, why not explore the South West 300? It is a stunning drive of just over 300 miles where the route follows our many miles of beautiful coastline. You also have the opportunity to marvel at our hills, glens, forests and lochs.
